This Privacy Policy explains how Cookiedad collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects personal data when you visit https://cookiedad.net, use the Cookiedad WordPress plugin, use the Cookiedad Cloud V3 Engine, contact support, connect a license, purchase a plan, or use related services (the "Services").
Cookiedad is provided by Vincenzo Greco, trading as Cookiedad, with registered address at Via Lacco Ameno 23/A and VAT/tax ID GRCVCN77R15A089W ("Cookiedad", "we", "us", or "our").

1. Scope and Important Role Distinctions
Cookiedad is used by website owners to manage consent and cookie-related workflows on their own WordPress websites. This creates different privacy roles:
- Cookiedad as controller: we act as controller for data about visitors to cookiedad.net, customers, administrators, account/license contacts, support contacts, security logs, and our direct business operations.
- Cookiedad as processor: we act as processor or service provider when we process customer-submitted website data through the Cookiedad Cloud V3 Engine, policy generator, scan systems, or support channels on behalf of a customer.
- Customer as controller: the website owner using Cookiedad is generally the controller or business for visitor data processed on that customer's own website, including local consent logs stored in that customer's WordPress database.
- Freemius as separate provider: checkout, tax, invoice, subscription, refund, customer portal, and license-management processing are handled through Freemius under Freemius legal terms and privacy policy.
Cookiedad is not designed to receive normal visitor consent logs, visitor IP addresses, or direct visitor identifiers from customer websites during ordinary visitor browsing.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Data You Provide Directly
We may collect personal data you provide when you:
- contact us by email, form, or support channel;
- submit a support request through the plugin;
- provide name, email address, company details, website URL, message text, diagnostics, or screenshots;
- configure a plugin account, license, or cloud feature;
- submit policy wizard answers or cookie information for cloud generation;
- request information, refunds, account help, privacy help, or technical support.
2.2 Website and Service Usage Data
When you visit cookiedad.net or use online Services, we and our providers may process:
- IP address and approximate location;
- browser type, device type, operating system, language, referrer, pages viewed, dates and times, and log data;
- cookie preferences and consent choices for cookiedad.net;
- security, fraud-prevention, error, and diagnostic logs;
- interactions with website forms, documentation, resources, and support channels.
2.3 Plugin, License, and Account Data
When you install, activate, connect, license, update, purchase, or manage Cookiedad through WordPress or Freemius, we or Freemius may process:
- administrator/account details, such as name and email address;
- site URL, home URL, domain, WordPress version, PHP version, plugin version, plan, license status, license identifiers, subscription status, and activation details;
- Freemius installation/user/plugin identifiers where available;
- local installation UUID where Freemius opt-in is skipped or no Freemius installation ID is available;
- non-sensitive diagnostic data needed for account, license, update, compatibility, and support workflows.
Freemius may also process payment method, billing address, tax, invoice, transaction, and subscription data under its own privacy policy. Cookiedad does not intentionally collect full payment card numbers.
2.4 Cloud Scanner and Policy Generator Data
When an authorized administrator uses cloud features, the plugin may send data to Cookiedad Cloud V3 Engine, including:
- public website URL, domain, target URLs, selected pages, scan mode, branching settings, full-site scan settings, and scan configuration;
- Freemius identifiers, license/account status hints, local UUID, API key, callback URL, callback token, correlation ID, usage/quota data, and plugin environment details;
- locally prepared cookie scan data, technical cookie definitions, deleted/active cookie definitions, providers, categories, durations, scripts, storage items, and scan results;
- policy wizard answers entered by the administrator, selected languages, company or website details entered in the wizard, generated policy drafts, and policy settings;
- public page content and technical metadata encountered during scanning, to the extent needed to detect cookies and tracking technologies.
Cloud scans are initiated by administrators through the dashboard, scanner, wizard, policy generator, account/usage checks, or related workflows. The cloud service is not contacted automatically during normal visitor browsing.
2.5 Local Consent Data on Customer Websites
The Cookiedad plugin stores visitor consent data locally in the customer's WordPress database. Depending on configuration, this may include:
- anonymous identifier;
- consent preferences and category choices;
- timestamps and modified consent timestamps;
- CCPA/CPRA preference choices;
- A/B test mode or group where enabled.
This local consent data is controlled by the website owner. It is not normally transmitted to Cookiedad cloud. If a customer exports, screenshots, or sends this data to support, we process it only for the support purpose.
2.6 Optional Geo-Targeting Data
In the premium version, if the customer enables geo-targeting, the customer's website may send the visitor's IP address to IPinfo Lite to determine country or region and decide which banner model to show.
This IPinfo request is made only when the customer enables the feature and configures the provider token. Cookiedad does not receive those visitor IP addresses through the normal geo-targeting flow unless the customer separately sends logs, screenshots, or diagnostics to us.
2.7 Video Guides and Thumbnail Data
The plugin support tab may show local video previews and load YouTube or youtube-nocookie.com video guides only after an administrator opens them. Google/YouTube may receive browser request data at that time.
The optional video thumbnail proxy may request public video identifiers or public video URLs from YouTube, Vimeo, or Dailymotion to retrieve or cache thumbnails. Visitor consent log data is not sent to those providers by this feature.
3. How We Use Data
We process personal data for these purposes:
- to provide, operate, maintain, secure, and improve Cookiedad;
- to run cloud scans, classify cookies, generate policy drafts, manage callback results, and provide usage/quota checks;
- to manage accounts, licenses, subscriptions, updates, plan entitlements, and customer support;
